k.c. is the foundation of KaribaRidge. She is the leader of the pack at KaribaRidge and the others good-naturedly accept her dominance. She has great speed and agility and can be very exuberant. This is evident when she is playing with her companions as they body-slam and wrestle. Her temperament is very dignified, intelligent and aloof with strangers. She shows no aggression, only her bark to brings attention and alerts us that someone is here. Her intelligence and understanding is awesome – it sometimes – is human like. She has a very independent spirit and is a notorious counter surfer.
k.c. was not shown in the conformation ring unfortunately, as she would have been a natural as is evident by her CKC and AKC Championed offspring, however she excelled during obedience classes. She is very well disciplined and she enforced good puppy behaviour to her babies prior to them going to their new owners. She was an absolutely wonderful mom and continues to keep her kids from misbehaving when they visit Kamp Kariba.
k.c.'s general appearance is that of a strong active girl. She is symmetrical and balanced in outline. She is of great endurance and she can go full throttle with good speed, stop, and again go. Her deep and capacious chest gives her this ability. In addition, her back is powerful and firm with strong loins, which are muscular giving her the ability to”spring” into action. Her feet are compact with well-arched toes both front and back…hind muscles are clean and well defined hocks. Her gait is long, free and unrestricted, this expressing a good balance between power and elegance.
